We are Maneki LT VŠĮ (NGO)

organized by Ukrainians for Ukrainians in Lithuania

What we do

The core of our work is providing psychological assistance and support for the adaptation and integration of Ukrainians in Lithuania. Typically, Ukrainians are not accustomed to seeking professional psychological help. For those who have lost everything due to the war, seeking such assistance can be extremely challenging. The trauma of war leaves individuals feeling as if they have been petrified, consumed by grief and loss. Asking for help from psychologists with different backgrounds and life experiences can make the task even more daunting.

Psychological support service

Recognizing this need, we have established a psychological support service staffed by Ukrainian specialists.

Some of our team members continue to reside in Ukraine, where they experience the sound of sirens and the need to take shelter during air raids. They are capable of providing psychological support both online and offline, fully understanding the situations and emotions of their clients. Our psychologists at the Psychological Support Centre are highly qualified professionals ready to assist in various areas:

  • Addressing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • Providing help for depression and suicidal tendencies
  • Offering support in cases of physical and psychological violence
  • Assisting military personnel dealing with post-traumatic syndrome
  • Providing psychological help to children under six, who may experience sleep problems, loss of speech, developmental delays, uncontrolled aggression, and panic attacks
  • Supporting teenagers
  • Conducting group therapy sessions

Our mission

Our psychologists undergo regular supervision and continuously enhance their skills and qualifications. Our mission goes beyond assisting Ukrainians in Lithuania; our psychologists also support evacuations and travel to areas of conflict to aid those in dire circumstances. This is more than just our job; it is our calling to provide psychological support during difficult times and inspire hope.

Our main areas of activity are:

01

Adaptation and Integration:

With our years of experience, we understand how to help Ukrainians adapt and integrate into Lithuanian society. Our specialists provide not only informational support but also assist in acquiring the new language and understanding cultural nuances.

02

Psychological Support and Consultations:

Our licensed psychologists have extensive experience in helping people who have been through difficult times. We offer psychological consultations and group sessions to help individuals cope with the trauma related to war.

03

Evacuations and Assistance in place:

Our work goes beyond the borders of Lithuania. Our psychologists support evacuations and travel to occupied territories, providing crucial assistance to those in difficult situations.
